Bois de Gouarec

As the Other Half has started up Breton Blog Renovation to document the more technical sides of the renovation (off-grid electric systems, lime rendering, gravity fed water heating systems etc) it means that I can concentrate on other aspects of life in Brittany. I intend to document the local area, day trips, local customs, food etc... starting with a wander through the woodlands beside the cottage.. Bois de Gouarec

An interesting shelter

You live in a lovely place, and I wish you much happiness there. Our place was a ruin as well, with only a cold water tap, no roof, and no electrics. We lived in caravans for the first two years, but this last year we have moved into the house during the day although still sleep in a caravan at night. It's a great life, far removed from the mod cons of the UK, and we love it!
