Great pictures of the renovation of the barn and particularly the interesting internal Madonna plaque. Never seen anything like that before, shame you can't make it a visible feature. Really interested in the insulation picture which would appear to be a really good construction and not the sort of thing a normal Breton builder would do. I presume this is something you have asked for or are doing yourself. Is the infill between the polystyrene some sort of insulating fibre or gravel?
Looking forward to seeing the finished conversion. Tony

.. it's gravel. we went for a belt and braces approach :)
